I really wasn't too sure what to expect upon walking into Pompeii- you can see pictures of it and hear the story but theres nothing quite like walking through the ruins.


We had the most amazing tour guide who made jokes and kept our attention the whole time- although it was pretty hard to not listen, everything about Pompeii is pretty fascinating. There are still tire tracks in the streets from the horse carriges and arrows shaped like penises pointing to the brothels carved into the ground and walls. Nothing was completely intact, and they had casts of people and the way they were frozen in time.





Right after Pompeii we jumped on a ferry to Mykonos, and I was so excited for Greece I didn't think to grab any kind of Pompeii souvenir! Thank god I have about a hundred pictures from the city alone.
